Zimbabwe Students Secure Silver and Bronze at International Science Fair in Turkey
Seven Zimbabwean students have won silver and bronze medals at the @1923imsef International Mathematics, Science and Engineering Fair in Turkey, competing against top young researchers from 12 countries across four continents.
The delegates presented original projects in mathematics, science and engineering before a panel of international judges.
Their work earned awards across multiple categories, contributing to Zimbabwe’s growing record at global science and innovation competitions.
The @1923imsef fair is an annual event that brings together secondary school students to showcase research-based projects.
Participants are assessed on scientific method, innovation, technical skill and presentation. The competition provides a platform for young scientists to network, exchange ideas, and gain exposure to international standards in STEM.
Zimbabwe’s participation highlights continued investment in science education and student research. Past delegations from the country have also returned with awards from regional and international fairs, signaling steady progress in developing technical talent at school level.
